ISLAMABAD: Renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel has tested positive for the novel coronavirus on Sunday. Confirming the news through his Twitter handle, Tariq Jameel said that he underwent a COVID-19 test on Sunday after suffering from virus symptoms.
He informed that on the directions of the doctors he has been admitted to hospital. It is pertinent to mention here that as many as 3,369 new cases of the coronavirus were reported across the country during the past 24 hours, pushing the national tally of infections to 438,425.–Agencies
