Merchant’s aide held for involvement in Rs3.5m dacoity

ISLAMABAD: PS Sabzi Mandi caught a person serving as assistant of merchant who deprived his boss from Rs. 3.5 million after staging a drama of dacoity.
According to the cops, a merchant Syed Kher Uddin lodged a complaint with PS Sabzi Mandi that some unidentified persons looted Rs. 3.5 million from his son Syed Kifayatullah and assistant Abid Shah at gunpoint in I-10 Markaz when they were on way to deposit money at bank.
Following his complaint, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed directed SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmed Sheikh to ensure arrest of those involved in looting cash. He constituted a team under supervision of PS Sabzi Mandi’s SHO SI Muhammad Iqbal, SI Shahid Mneer and others.
Th given team investigated the case through modern techniques and succeeded to arrest two. One of the nabbed accused was the assistant of merchant Abid Shah while the other was identified as Fawad Khan. Police team recovered the looted amount worth Rs. 3 million and weapons from the caught crooks while efforts are underway to arrest their other accomplices.
IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed have appreciated this performance of PS Sabzi Mandi team and announced cash prizes as well as commendation certificates for the entire team.

CIA books 3 street criminals

ISLAMABAD: On the directives of SP Investigation Malik Naeem Iqbal, CIA Cops busted a proclaimed offender, involved in snatching purses and under cover of giving ride to the helpless on road, later looting them at gunpoint, along two of his accomplices. Snatched cash, mobile phones, arms and ammunition have been recovered from the accused.
Moreover, during preliminary investigation, the cops have admitted of commission of snatching instances at PS Sabzi Mandi jurisdiction areas. The culprits also have previous criminal record. A case has been registered against the accused while further investigation is underway.
The operation was conducted under the supervision of CIA DSP Hakim Khan, by ASI Circle Khan along personnel.

Man booked for selling vehicles on forged documents

ISLAMABAD: Islamabad Ramana police have busted a member of wanted gang who used to sell vehicles after preparing fake documents.
Following the directions of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan and DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed, to accelerate efforts against anti-social elements, SP Saddar Zone constituted special teams under supervision of ASP Rana Abdul Wahab including SHO Raman Sub-Inspectors Tariq Rauf, ASI Muhammad Akram and other police officials arrested a wanted member of gang identified as Jahanzaib, besides recovery of a vehicle along with its fake documents. During the preliminary investigation, he confessed to sell vehicles to the simpleton after preparing their fake documents.
A Case has been registered against the nabbed and further investigation is underway. DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed has appreciated the performance and directed for effective policing measures in the city.
