KARACHI, September 6, 2026: The chehlum of Mir Raza Ali Khan was held in Karachi, where his father, Mir Hussain, said the family would continue its fight for justice until the end, media reported.
Speaking to the media, Mir Hussain said they had been fighting for justice since the first day and would continue the struggle.
He said the family would not hold a protest today due to the chehlum and had announced the cancellation of the protest for this reason.
“Please pray that Mir Raza gets justice,” Mir Hussain said. He said the family was making every effort to get a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) formed. Mir Hussain said the judicial commission had also pointed out what the family had been saying since the beginning.
“When it was known on the first day that it was a murder, why was an attempt made to change the direction of the case?” he questioned.
He said when the family demanded a JIT, the matter was instead taken to the judicial commission.
According to Mir Hussain, negligence by Dr Usama and the Johar police station had also come to light.
He added that whatever Mir Raza’s partner says would make no difference to the family. –Agencies
