ISLAMABAD: A modern Command, Control, Communication and Coordination Center has been established at the Islamabad Police Central Police Office. The center will play a key role in strengthening technology-based policing, effective command, timely decision-making and coordination among various police units in the capital.
The primary objective of the new center is to provide Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi with a centralized platform for direct monitoring and effective command of Islamabad Police’s key operational systems, Safe City, field force and the overall law and order situation in the city. Through this system, information and operational activities of different police units will be integrated through a unified command and control platform.
The center integrates various advanced technology-based systems, including artificial intelligence, facial recognition, automatic number plate recognition, crime analysis, geographic information systems and emergency response systems. These technologies will assist in crime prevention, monitoring of the field force and ensuring a prompt police response.
The modern center will enable the timely provision of information, real-time monitoring of situations and rapid decision-making during any emergency, security or law and order situation. The IGP Islamabad will be able to directly monitor the overall situation in the city and police operations from his office and issue immediate instructions to the concerned officers.
The centralized command and control platform will further improve communication and coordination among different police units. In the event of any incident, it will facilitate the timely mobilization of relevant units, effective allocation of resources and a faster police response.
The use of modern technology will also enable effective monitoring of field force deployment, performance and operational activities, while further strengthening the systems of command, monitoring and accountability. This will contribute to improving the overall quality and performance of policing. The establishment of this modern center marks an important milestone in transforming Islamabad Police towards data-driven and technology-enabled modern policing based on timely information and integrated command.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi has reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the effective use of modern technology, integrated command and control, improved inter-unit coordination and rapid response mechanisms within Islamabad Police.
He said that the protection of citizens, continuous improvement in police performance and maintenance of law and order in Islamabad remain the top priorities of Islamabad Police. For this purpose, modern technology and all available resources will be utilized to their fullest potential.
