Mohammad Abbas rises to No.10 spot in ICC Test Bowling Rankings

Dubai: Pakistan’s Mohammad Abbas has now entered the top 10 of International Cricket Council (ICC) Test Bowling Rankings after a decent show with the ball against England in the first Test at Old Trafford, Manchester.
The 30-year-old Abbas picked 2-33 and 1-36 in both the innings respectively. He got the wickets of Dom Sibley and Ben Stokes in the first innings whereas trapped Rory Burns in the second innings.
After claiming three wickets in the first #ENGvPAK game, Mohammad Abbas has entered the top 10 of the @MRFWorldwide ICC Test Rankings for bowling.

He now shares the tenth spot with Australia’s Josh Hazlewood with 769 ranking points. Leg-spinner Yasir Shah has moved up 2 spots to 22nd in the latest rankings. Shaheen Afridi is at 33rd and Naseem Shah is at 53.
Opener Shan Masood has also achieved his career-best rankings, going up 14 spots to a career-best 19th position. Babar Azam has retained his 6th spot whereas Ben Stokes has dropped to 7th. Asad Shafiq and Azhar Ali has also dropped to 22nd and 34th respectively.
On the other hand, the star and man of the match in Manchester, Chris Woakes has risen to No.7 in all-rounder rankings whereas Stuart Broad snatched No.10 spot from New Zealand’s Tim Southee.
