Karachi: Former pacer Shoaib Akhtar has revealed that former Pakistan’s bowling coach Mohammad Akram will be the new chief selector of the national team.
The 45-year-old Akhtar tweeted and claimed that according to his sources Akram will be appointed as the new chief selector.
“From what my sources tell me, Mohammad Akram will be the new chief selector. Good luck to him on this tricky but important position.”
Akhtar also appreciated Akram’s previous roles and thinks that he is best suited for this role. He wished Akram good luck for the new role.
It must be noted that Misbah-ul-Haq earlier today, stepped down from the role of the chief selector, however, will continue to serve as the head coach of the men’s team.
