KARACHI: A woman and her three children have been killed in an incident in Ka-rachi’s Surjani Town, media reported.
According to police, the deceased woman was identified as Mahwish, while her children included five-year-old Hasnain, six-year-old Kashmirah and an 18-month-old girl. The 18-month-old girl was initially shifted to a hospital in critical condition but later suc-cumbed to her injuries.
Police have started questioning the woman’s husband as part of the investigation. According to the husband, he had gone to drop his employer somewhere. He said that when he returned, no one opened the door. The husband said he also repeatedly called out to his wife but received no response.
SSP West Tariq Elahi Mastooi reached the crime scene after the incident.
Sindh Home Minister Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar took notice of the incident in which four bodies were found inside a house in Surjani Town and sought an immediate and detailed report from SSP West.
The Sindh home minister directed police to investigate the incident from all aspects and bring the facts to light.
He directed police to collect evidence from the crime scene and determine the reasons be-hind the incident.
The home minister further ordered that immediate action be taken if evidence regarding the involvement of any individuals is found.
Zia-ul-Hassan Lanjar also directed officials to keep him informed about progress in the investigation. –Agencies
