Motorway rest areas raided on Tiger Force’s tip

ISLAMABAD: The Civil Administration conducted raids at a tip of Tiger Force volunteers at motorway rest areas, against hoarders and profiteers, here on Sunday.
According to details, The local administration had expedited actions against hoarders and profiteers to bring down prices of essential commodities on the directives of Prime Minister Imran Khan. Thus, at the tip of the Tiger Force, raids were conducted on motorway rest areas. During the raids, the administration made arrests of several people besides imposition of fines up to 40,000 for overcharging the products. Earlier, the volunteers of Tiger Force had been reported regarding the overcharging of essential goods from passengers at motorway rest areas.
Moreover, a raid was also carried out against hoarders at the tip of the Tiger Force at Gujar Khan city of Punjab. The raid was conducted on a secret go-down where sugar sacks were hidden. More than 800 sugar sacks were seized which were worth over Rs4 million. The seized sugar sacks will be provided to sahulat bazaars to sale on lower cost.

Two caught as smuggling bid
of 6.357kg hash foiled

ISLAMABAD: PS Sabzi Mandi and PS Noon thwarted an attempt to smuggle narcotics from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to lower parts of the country and arrested two persons in possession of cache of drugs.
According to details, following orders of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, he said that DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed had categorically directed all cops to accelerate their efforts against drug dealers/smugglers and to curb the menace from the Capital. Following these directions, SP Industrial Area Zubair Ahmad Shaikh constituted a special team under the supervision of DSP Khalid Mehmood Awan including SHOs Sabzi Mandi SI Muhammad Iqbal, SHO Noon Abdul Razzaq, SIs Adeel Shokat and Muhammad Nawaz along with others. The given team caught accused which were later identified as Saif-ur-Rehman and Javed khan. 6.357kilogram hashish was also recovered from the accused. Moreover, during preliminary investigation, both the suspects confessed to smuggle this cache of drugs from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to Islamabad and various cities of Punjab.
IGP Islamabad and DIG Operations have appreciated the performance of CIA Police team while announcing cash rewards for them. DIG Operations has said that Capital Cops were accelerating all out efforts for safety and security of citizens. He also requested the citizens to inform police in case of any such suspicious activity in their areas.
