ISLAMABAD: Following the special directions of IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, efforts are ongoing to provide the best facilities and discounted medical services to Islamabad Police officers and their families.
In this regard, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed between Islamabad Police and the private organization Nayab Labs and Diagnostic Center.
On behalf of Islamabad Police the agreement was signed by SP Headquarters Qaiser Niaz Gilani and Nayab Labs and Diagnostic Center Medical Director Dr. Nawab Zaheer Ud Din Shaikh.
Under the agreement, Islamabad Police officers and their families will receive a 35% discount on lab tests and 20% on radiological tests, while Islamabad Police Shuhada families will receive a 40% discount on lab tests and 25% on radiological tests.
To avail the discounted tests, all officers and their families will use service and family medical cards.
IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi said that the best medical facilities are being provided to the serving officers of Islamabad Police, as well as the families of martyrs and officers who passed away during service.
Such measures are boosting the morale of police officers and helping to provide their families with the best medical facilities. Further steps are being taken for the welfare of police officers.
He added that police officers often suffer from various illnesses due to law and order duties and other tough responsibilities, and they faced difficulties in getting the best medical treatment.
Through such medical welfare initiatives, police officers and their families will have access to health-related facilities at their homes.
