HYDERABAD: The former chief minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah, has taken a dig at the MQM-P, describing it as a “dead horse” which is being revived artifically through spoon feeding.
Drawing on personal experiences, he recalled the challenging circumstances of his childhood, paying extortion money during the MQM-P’s reign. Shah criticized MQM-P’s questionable electoral tactics, accusing the party of resorting to begging and illicit means to secure votes. In a veiled critique aimed at political rivals, Shah dismissed the Pakistan PML-N, alleging a lack of vision and a preoccupation with the past. Shah expressed confidence that the PPP would beg 45 to 50 National Assembly seats from Sindh thanks to the public support his party enjoyed in the upcoming general elections, positioning them as the leading political force in Sindh. –Agencies
