ISLAMABAD: Deputy Inspector General of Police (DIG) Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq, held an important press conference at “Rescue 15.” On this occasion, the SSP Investigations, SP Saddar Zone, DSP CIA and other police officers were also present.
DIG Islamabad stated that the Islamabad Police had achieved another major success by tracing and arresting the accused involved in the blind murder case.
The accused was responsible for the unjust murder of 22-year-old Imaan, a student of the International Islamic University.
The arrested accused has been identified as Feroz, a resident of Jhang, who had gone into hiding after the incident.
He further stated that the arrested accused had entered the “Kainat Girls Hostel” with the intention of committing a crime, where he fired a shot that led to the victim’s death.
After receiving information about the incident, several police teams were formed under the command of SSP Operations and SSP Investigations.
These teams employed modern techniques and human intelligence to arrest the accused. Police teams obtained sketches of the suspect, videos from nearby buildings, and footage from Safe City Islamabad cameras, which helped ensure the accused arrest. The arrested accused has a criminal record, including previous charges for rape and several motorcycle thefts.
DIG Islamabad further said that a case has been registered against the suspect, and the investigation is ongoing.
The arrested accused will be charged in court based on a thorough investigation and solid evidence, ensuring that he receives appropriate punishment.
