NA Speaker visits Jakhrani House, offers condolences

ISLAMABAD: Speaker of National Assembly (NA) Sardar Ayaz Sadiq Tuesday visited the residence of Pakistan Peoples Party Chief Whip Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani at Jakhrani House in Jacobabad to offer condolences over the death of his father, former MNA Mir Ahmad Nawaz Khan, also known as Mir Babal Khan Jakhrani.
During the visit, the Speaker expressed deep sorrow and grief over the passing of the veteran political figure and conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved family, said a news release.
He said that parents are a great blessing from Almighty Allah and their loss is irreparable.
Ayaz Sadiq said he equally shared the grief of Mir Aijaz Hussain Jakhrani and his family during this difficult time.
Paying tribute to the late Mir Babal Khan Jakhrani, the Speaker said he was a wise political and social personality whose contributions would be remembered for a long time. He also offered Fateha for the departed soul and prayed to Almighty Allah to grant the deceased high ranks in Jannah and give patience and strength to the family to bear the loss with fortitude.
Later, talking to the media, the Speaker said Pakistan had earned respect at the international level and the world was appreciating its diplomatic efforts.
He said Pakistan had played an important role in bringing the United States and Iran to a ceasefire for two weeks and facilitating dialogue between the two countries despite decades of hostility.
Ayaz Sadiq He said that consultations were continuing with President Asif Ali Zardari and former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, saying the Iran-US ceasefire was a success for the entire nation.
