Naat competition held

ISLAMABAD: In continuation of the tradition of further enhancing the skills of students in addition to their curricular activities, a “Naat Khawani” competition was organized by the Federal Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (FBISE) on the second day of the weekly co-curricular activities.
The event was largely participated by the students from educational institutions affiliated to the Federal Board. This spirited event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran. On this occasion, Director Research and Academics Federal Board Mirza Ali welcomed the students and gave encouraging words for them.
He said that it has been the tradition of Federal Board to organize such competitions to enhance the all-round aspects of the personality of children and boost their self-confidence. “Such competitions also enhance the leadership skills of children” he mentioned. He further said that all the children who have come to participate in the competition deserve congratulations even before the competition starts because winning or losing has no meaning, as our main goal is to promote self-confidence in children.
“So, all of you children who are participating in this competition are the best and capable children” he appreciated. In the matriculation level competitions, Syeda Maimuna Zahid, FG Public School, Rawalpindi, won first position, while Syed Hammad Raza Gilani, OPF Boys College, H/8-4, Islamabad won the second position and Muhammad Zamin, Fazaia Inter College, Rawalpindi secured the third position.
Similarly, in the intermediate level competitions, Zeeshan, of IMCB, H-9, Islamabad won the first position, while Iqra Shahbaz, PAEC Model College, Chashma, Mianwali got the second position and Abdul Wahab, Fazaia Inter College, Noor Khan, Rawalpindi secured the third position.
On this occasion, the special guest, Director Research and Academics, Federal Board Mirza Ali, distributed certificates and cash prizes among the students who secured the positions.
