ISLAMABAD: Keeping in view fresh threats of terrorist attacks in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, the National Counter Terrorism Authority (NACTA) has prepared a new list of the people included in the Fourth Schedule from across the country.
The updated list revealed on Thursday bears the names of 3,681 people, of whom 394 are from Sindh, and 198 are from Karachi.
Their division area-wise is as under:
Names of 25 people from Khairpur are on the list while 21 belong to Hyderabad; 21 to Jacobabad, 18 are from Sukkur, and five suspected persons whose names are included in the updated list are from Larkana.
While issuing the new list, NACTA has urged the government to keep an eye on these persons.
The Authority has also made it binding on those whose names have been added to the Fourth Schedule to inform the concerned authorities of their activities and movements.
They have been directed to disclose names of the places where they live, people with whom they meet, and their professions.
Meanwhile, NACTA, while warning of terrorist attacks by defunct Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) in Sindh, particularly in Karachi, has said that offices of the law-enforcement agencies (LEAs) are their possible targets.
Terrorists may hit offices of Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), security staff or a vehicle carrying senior officers.
The Authority has directed the government to further strengthen the security of LEAs’ offices.
