ISLAMABAD: Member of the National Assembly Dr. Nafisa Shah on Wednesday strongly condemned the killing of a woman in Tando Masti, saying the incident as a heinous crime against humanity.
In a statement, Dr.Nafisa said murder in the name of so-called honour was an unforgivable act and could not be tolerated under any circumstances.
Dr Nafisa said illegal decisions taken through jirga systems had no constitutional or legal status.
She demanded the immediate arrest of all those involved in the incident and urged authorities to ensure that the culprits were brought to justice without delay.
Dr Nafisa also condemned those who recorded the incident and circulated the video on social media, saying such individuals were equally complicit in the crime.
She called for strict legal action against everyone responsible, including those who helped spread the footage online.
Dr. Shah urged the government to take practical steps to ensure the protection of women and said exemplary punishment for the accused was necessary to provide justice and deter such crimes in future. –Agencies
