Karachi: Pacer Naseem Shah, who was part of the Quetta Gladiators’ squad for sixth edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL), expressed his regret after he was out of the Abu Dhabi leg as he violated COVID-19 protocols.
The 18-year-old Naseem tweeted where he posted a picture with a quote that read as: “I wish my mother was alive today, I would have told her about my grief. She would have said, why are you upset? I’m here for you.”
“I worked hard and was passionate about PSL. I followed the instructions by viewing all the messages in the group. I don’t know how I missed this message,” Naseem wrote.
“I want to play cricket as it is my life. I can’t describe how I am feeling right now. Allah will make me strong. I will make a comeback,” he concluded.
Meanwhile, Karachi Kings’ pacer Mohammad Amir has suggested Naseem to stay strong. “Allah passes us through small tests when he is about to reward us respect. Inshallah, you will get massive respect, stay strong,” Amir wrote.
It must be noted all participants, who were bound to travel to Abu Dhabi via chartered planes were directed to submit the negative reports of PCR tests taken not more than 48 hours prior to arrival.
However, Naseem presented the test reports conducted on May 18. On the recommendation of the independent Medical Advisory Panel for PSL, the pacer was dropped out from the lineup flying to Abu Dhabi.
