LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) President Nawaz Sharif lauded the services of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.
“The situation is improving in Punjab due to the tireless efforts of Maryam Nawaz,” said the PML-N president.
He expressed these views during a meeting with MPAs hailing from Rawalpindi, Attock, Murree, Chakwal, Wazirabad, Hafizabad and Mandi Bahauddin districts.
The overall political situation, public issues and development projects were discussed during the meeting.
Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz was also present on the occasion.
“You all are my strength. The problems of people are being resolved and Maryam Nawaz is working very hard,” said the three-time prime minister.
Maryam Nawaz said that Nawaz Sharif regularly monitors the performance of Punjab government. She said that Punjab is the only province where people can get the roti at cheapest price.
The MPAs said that Maryam Nawaz has ensured merit and transparency in all her projects being initiated in Punjab. “The tenure of Maryam Nawaz reminds us the good old days of Nawaz Sharif and Shehbaz Sharif,” said the MPAs.
The chief minister directed the officials concerned to timely complete the development projects in Gujranwala and Rawalpindi.
Earlier, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said that the fate of people will be changed in five years during the PML-N government. She was addressing a ceremony held on Monday to give free homes to deserving families under the Maskan-e-Ravi project.
“I am very satisfied today as 100 families got their homes under the project,” Maryam Nawaz said.
She said that all the homes have a solar panel already installed to provide free electricity to deserving people. The chief minister said that a school and water filtration plant are also there with these homes to facilitate the people. “Nawaz Sharif is serving the people of Pakistan for last 45 years. He gave this country motorways and cheap electricity,” said Maryam.
According to Maryam Nawaz, she is a foot soldier of Nawaz Sharif and completing projects according to his vision. The chief minister said that 0.5 million people will get their homes in five years and she is personally supervising the project.
She added that one lac families will get their homes in the current year.
