ISLAMABAD: Director General National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi on Thursday directed all circles to strengthen prosecution of cyber crime cases, complete pending challans on time and maintain close coordination with the agency’s Legal Wing for effective pursuit of cases in courts.
DG Rizvi held an important meeting with the Chief Law Officer NCCIA at the agency’s headquarters and reviewed legal matters related to cyber crime cases. The meeting discussed effective prosecution, timely completion of pending challans, fulfilment of legal requirements and strong representation of cases before courts. Rizvi directed all NCCIA circles to maintain close coordination with the Legal Wing to ensure that every case was dealt with on merit and all legal requirements were completed for bringing offenders to justice.
The Chief Law Officer briefed the DG Rizvi on ongoing legal proceedings and challenges faced in the prosecution of cyber crime cases. The meeting stressed that strong prosecution was essential for tackling cyber crime and ensuring justice for victims. Rizvi also directed concerned officers to remove unnecessary delays in legal proceedings and strengthen coordination between investigation teams and the Legal Wing.
