Nine drug pushers caught during special crackdown

ISLAMABAD: Capital Cops caught nine accused it’s crackdown against drug pushers and criminal elements and recovered narcotics and wine from the accused.
According to details, following the directives of IGP Islamabad Muhammad Aamir Zulfqar Khan, DIG Operations Waqar-ud-Din Syed issued directions to all zonal officers for renewed efforts against those involved in anti-social activities. Owing these efforts,
PS Aabpara caught two namely Nabeel and Shahzad while recovering 15 liters of alcohol, Wine and 112 gram Ice from their possession.
PS Karachi Company nabbed accused Shahbaz and recovered 10 wine bottles from him. PS Sabzi Mandi busted an Afghan national Cheema Wali, living illegally in the Capital. PS Khanna booked accused Tariq, involved in theft case.
CIA police team, on the other hand, apprehended accused Waseem Raza and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him. PS Bara Kaho nabbed accused Sharfat and recovered 230 gram hashish. Similarly, PS Ramana arrested accused Umair Ashraf and recovered a 30-bore pistol from him while PS Sihala, on the other hand, caught accused Noor Muhammad and recovered 1135 gram hashish from him.
Separate cases have been registered against the accused while further legal proceedings are underway against them. DIG Operations Islamabad Waqar-ud-Din Syed has said that these social evils would be curbed and those backing drug peddlers and professional beggars would be dealt with iron hands. He further emphasized that this campaign would continue till elimination of anti-social elements.
