NIPA course participants visit Safe City

ISLAMABAD: Director General (DG) Safe City, Shakir Hussain Dawar, and Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Islamabad, Muhammad Jawad Tariq, welcomed the Mid-Career Management Course delegation from the National Institute of Public Administration (NIPA), Peshawar. They briefed the delegation on the operational performance of Safe City Islamabad, including the Islamabad Police Operations Division and the overall law and order situation in the federal capital.
The delegation visited the Command and Control Center, the Data Hub Unit, the modern technology-equipped surveillance system, and the Police Operations Center Hall. They received a comprehensive briefing on the procedures and advantages of the Safe City project.
Furthermore, the delegation was informed that Safe City Islamabad plays a significant role across vari-ous departments through the use of modern technologies, including the Police Operations Center, Emergency Control Center, Data Hub Unit, Dispatch Control Center, E-Challan System, and the “Pucar-15” helpline.
The delegation was also apprised of the functionality and benefits of the Safe City surveillance camer-as. These modern cameras are playing a crucial role in maintaining public safety, preventing crime, and protecting the lives and property of citizens.
Face recognition cameras have been installed at the city’s entry and exit points, where they are prov-ing effective in identifying suspicious individuals, officials stated.
The delegation acknowledged the Islamabad Police’s modern technical systems and their benefits.
They expressed special gratitude to IGP Islamabad, Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, and his team for facilitating a successful visit.
