Karachi: Pakistan-born South African leg-spinner Imran Tahir has stated that there is no contrast in terms of standard between the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and Indian Premier League (IPL). Imran, who represented Multan Sultans in PSL season five, thinks that PSL has an edge in terms of fast bowling and pitches are quite good.
“Standard is the same in PSL & IPL. The standard in PSL is fantastic, there are good fast-bowlers & pitches are very good where the ball comes on to the bat nicely – maybe now and then, you get a slow track but I think that the standard of PSL is very good,” The 40-year-old said in a virtual presser after his side lost to Lahore Qalandars in Eliminator 2.
Imran lauded the people of Pakistan for so much love and is currently unsure whether he plays for Sultans in PSL 6 or any other franchise.
I thank all the people of Pakistan on behalf of me and all the foreign players. We enjoy the environment here,” Imran said.
“You never know, if a player goes back to draft or gets retain but I would love to play again for Sultans as they rewarded me the first opportunity to play in the PSL,” Imran concluded.
