Karachi: The CEO of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Wasim Khan has confirmed that no player has been tested positive for coronavirus so far.
While talking to the media in Karachi, Khan said that the situation is under control and they are taking every possible step as a precaution to keep players, officials and all stakeholders safe from Corona Virus. “No player has been tested positive for Coronavirus so far. More tests will be done in the next 24 hours and I hope everything goes on a positive note for us,’ Khan said. Khan said that after Sindh Government, Punjab Government also advised them to conduct matches behind closed doors. “We are in touch with provincial governments. The decision to close doors for the crowd in Lahore during the last phase of PSL 5 was also taken with a very heavy heart as public safety is our top priority,” he said.
On the other hand, Khan also revealed that they are in talks with Bangladesh Cricket Board (PCB) to finalize things for upcoming matches in Karachi. – Agencies
