ISLAMABAD: Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, issued an important message for the citizens of the federal capital on the occasion of the 78th Independence Day.
IGP said, many congratulations to all of you on 14th August, Independence Day. Freedom is a tremendous blessing. On behalf of Islamabad Police, I extend heartfelt greetings to all citizens of Pakistan on this occasion.
I urge all residents of Islamabad to celebrate Independence Day with full spirit. Go out with your families and enjoy this great day. Bow down before Allah and offer prayers of gratitude.
But please remember one thing, under no circumstances will we allow one-wheeling, aerial firing, hooliganism, or harassment of fellow citizens. Anyone found involved in illegal activities will face strict legal action without any discrimination.
I request all parents to guide their children, brothers, and younger family members and help them understand the true meaning of independence. But keep in mind, your freedom should not infringe upon someone else’s.
In case of any suspicious activity or emergency, please call our helplines at Pucar-15, 1715, or 1815. The information you provide is of great importance to us and often leads to significant breakthroughs because the success of the police is your success. We are one, we are Islamabad. He further stated that a comprehensive security plan has been put in place to maintain peace and order in the federal capital. According to the plan, over 4,000 officers and personnel will be performing security duties including patrolling, manning checkpoints, and presence in markets.
All officers will be out there to ensure your safety and security. God willing, every single officer and personnel of Islamabad Police will be seen patrolling the streets of Islamabad. We have developed a robust security plan for your protection.
This Independence Day is also significant because Allah Almighty has granted us a historic victory, a victory that has no precedent in history. The role of Pakistan’s armed forces in this victory is exemplary, and we are proud of our military.
We are also proud of our law enforcement agencies. By Almighty Allah willing, all institutions will continue to work for the safety and convenience of the people.
Finally, once again, I congratulate everyone on this Independence Day. It is indeed a great blessing. Enjoy the festive atmosphere, but remember your joy should not become a nuisance for others.
We pray to Allah for the progress of our country and that we continue to breathe in the air of freedom because we are Pakistan. This is our country, and with Almighty Allah’s grace, we will not hesitate to shed the last drop of our blood for it.
