ISLAMABAD: A three-member previously convicted gang impersonating government officials has been arrested. The police recovered looted cash, official uniforms, various equipment, and weapons along with ammunition from the suspects. A case has been registered while further investigation is underway.
Following the special directives of Deputy Inspector General of Police Islamabad Muhammad Jawad Tariq the Islamabad Police remain fully active in maintaining law and order in the federal capital and in eliminating crime.
In this regard, the Sambal Police team utilizing modern technical tools and human intelligence successfully arrested three accused belonging to a previously convicted gang who were impersonating government officials. The arrested individuals have been identified as Kashif, Haider and Shehbaz.
Moreover, the police team also recovered stolen cash, official uniforms, handcuffs and weapons with ammunition from their possession. Case has been registered against the accused and further investigation is ongoing.
