ISLAMABAD: Kohsar Police Station team of Islamabad Police, in a successful operation, arrested a key member of a dangerous gang involved in multiple incidents of robbery, highway robbery, and street crime. During the operation, the police recovered eight valuable mobile phones worth millions of rupees that had been snatched from citizens at gunpoint.
During the initial investigation, the accused confessed to involvement in several street crime incidents in different areas of the federal capital. Multiple criminal cases are already registered against the accused. Further investigation is underway, while efforts are also being made to arrest his accomplices.
On the special directions of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, a comprehensive crackdown against individuals involved in robbery, highway robbery, street crime, and other heinous offences is continuing across the federal capital. Due to the arrest of criminal elements and effective policing measures, a significant decline has been observed in serious crime. SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza directed all police officers to further intensify indiscriminate action against criminals involved in depriving citizens of their valuable belongings, ensure that habitual offenders are brought to justice, and take all necessary measures to safeguard the lives and property of citizens.
He also appealed to the public to fully cooperate with Islamabad Police in the fight against crime and to immediately report any suspicious person, activity, or incident to the nearest police station or through the “Pucar-15” Emergency Helpline to ensure prompt legal action.
