islamabad: A delegation of under-training officers from National Police Academy visited Safe City Islamabad as part of their study tour. The delegation was welcomed by Islamabad Police officers.
On the occasion, senior officers briefed the delegation and facilitated visits to the police operations hall, online women police station, web TV and wireless control room, while also highlighting the significance and functionality of the command and control centre.
Additionally, the delegation was given a comprehensive tour of the core systems of Safe City Islamabad, including the advanced surveillance camera system. They were also briefed on the operational procedures and effectiveness of these systems.
The delegation was informed that the Safe City Islamabad project, based on modern technology, plays a vital role in various sectors.
This includes the emergency control centre, dispatch control centre, E-Challan system and the “Pucar-15” emergency helpline initiatives.
Furthermore, the delegation was briefed on the performance and utility of Safe City’s surveillance cameras in maintaining public safety, preventing crime and protecting lives and property.
It was shared that facial recognition cameras have been installed at the Islamabad entry and exit points to help identify suspicious individuals.
The delegation appreciated the modern technological systems of Islamabad Police and acknowledged their effectiveness.
They expressed gratitude to the Director General Safe City Islamabad and his team for organizing a successful and informative visit.
