ISLAMABAD: The Department of Management Sciences, National University of Modern Languages (NUML) organised the Entrepreneurship Gala 2025, featuring 56 innovative stalls this year with diverse range of products and services, from food items and handcrafted jewelry to unique ideas and exciting business concepts.
Muhammad Omais Khattak, Chair Global Students Entrepreneur Awards (GSEA), Entrepreneurs Organization, Islamabad Chapter, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and inaugurated the event.
Rector NUML, Shahid Mahmood Kayani, along with the Chief Guest, Director General (DG) NUML, Brig Muhammad Rafiq Khan, Dean Management Sciences, faculty members, and senior officials, visited the student stalls, said a press release on Friday.
Speaking on the occasion, Omais Khattak appreciated NUML continuous efforts in providing students with practical, experience-based learning opportunities.
He highlighted that such initiatives play a crucial role in motivating youth to take part in productive activities, helping them refine and present their entrepreneurial abilities. He further emphasized that hands-on exposure at the university level equips students with real-world business insight and confidence to pursue future ventures.
The Rector commended the creativity, innovation, and dedication of the students, adding that NUML remains committed to nurturing a culture of entrepreneurship, critical thinking, and problem-solving among students to prepare them for modern-day professional challenges.
He appreciated the efforts of the faculty in organizing the gala and encouraged students to continue exploring new ideas and translating them into viable business models.
The DG NUML also acknowledged the hard work of the organizing team and students, stating that events like the Entrepreneurship Gala foster healthy competition, teamwork, and business planning skills among learners.
