BAGHDAD: Over 100 Pakistani pilgrims stranded at the Iraqi capital city’s airport appealed to the government for assistance.
The pilgrims have been stranded at Baghdad airport since Tuesday after they missed their flight to Lahore as the tour head vanished with their passports.
The pilgrims received their passports three hours after the flight had departed.
“We are facing difficulties as Shah Khurasan travel agent did not give us our tickets or passports on time,” the pilgrims said. “The elderly and children are being forced to sleep on floors in the cold and several have fallen sick,” the pilgrims added.
Appealing to the government for assistance, the pilgrims said they do not have money for food or to buy return tickets.
