Lahore: More than 2,000 umpires from across the country have submitted applications for the Level-1 umpiring course. The country’s top umpires Aleem Dar, Ahsan Raza and Rashid Riaz will conduct the course. Shortlisted umpires are asked to submit their fees by May 10.
In the opening three days of the course, the participants will be provided the basic knowledge about umpiring rules, regulations and laws of the game.
On the fourth and final day of the four-day-long course, the participants will undergo written tests, fitness tests and interviews. Successful umpires of the course will be eligible to officiate club and school cricket matches by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
