ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Administration on Tuesday said that the M-Tag installation campaign is moving forward at a steady pace.
According to official figures, the drive, which began on November 14, has so far facilitated over 24,000 vehicles across the federal capital.
In the latest update, the administration confirmed that 3,240 vehicles were provided M-Tags during the past 24 hours, reflecting a growing public response as the process continues across different parts of the city.
To make the service accessible, the district administration has established 12 dedicated points in various areas of Islamabad. These facilitation points are operational throughout the day, enabling citizens to complete the process without delay.
Officials said that the setup aims to ensure that residents can obtain M-Tags close to their neighbourhoods. The administration has also called on vehicle owners to visit the nearest point at the earliest to avoid inconvenience.
The district administration has urged motorists to get their M-Tags without delay to ensure compliance with entry rules on designated routes. Officials added that the tag is essential for smooth traffic flow and helps avoid any future legal action associated with non-compliance.
According to the administration, citizens who act promptly will not only ensure uninterrupted movement on controlled routes but also support the broader enforcement mechanism introduced across the federal capital.
The ICT Administration reiterated that the M-Tag system is part of an ongoing effort to regulate traffic and ensure that all vehicles entering checkpoints follow the updated requirements. Citizens have been advised to keep their vehicle documents ready when visiting the facilitation points to speed up the process.
Authorities also stressed that the process is quick and requires only a short visit to the designated counters. They encouraged residents to spread awareness within their communities so that more vehicles can be registered without delay.
