ISLAMABAD: Following the special directives of IGP Islamabad Syed Ali Nasir Rizvi, the Islamabad Police has intensified search and combing operations in various areas of the federal capital to curb crime and crackdown on criminal elements.
The grand search and combing operations were conducted under the supervision of SSP Operations Islamabad Qazi Ali Raza, and monitored by the respective zonal SPs. During these search operations, a total of 755 individuals, 190 households, 11 hotels, 27 shops and 276 motorcycles and 116 vehicle were thoroughly checked.
Additionally, 35 suspicious individuals and 25 motorcycles were also shifted to the police station for further verification. Moreover, accused involved in possessing illegal weapons were also arrested and two rifles with ammunition were recovered from their possession.
