The Accountability Court has instructed the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) to produce missing documents of Nooriabad Power Project reference against Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, and others on next hearing. Accountability Court Judge Syed Ashgar Ali heard the Nooriabad Power Plant and money laundering reference filed by the NAB authorities against Syed Murad Ali Shah and several other people. The accused, Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali Shah and others, appeared before the court however the NAB’s investigator was absent and case documents were incomplete. According to reports, the court summoned the NAB investigation officer and instructed to submit the property documents of absconder accused Muhammad Ali on next hearing. During the hearing, the defense counsel informed the court that most of the pages of the reference volume provided to the accused and their lawyers were missing. The Defense lawyer further said that 66 volumes were given to them while 4 volumes were missing. National Accountability Bureau (NAB) is the Country’s major anti-graft watchdog. Which has caused tremendous fear, not only for the criminals involved in white collar crimes but also responsible citizens because of its authoritative regime. In fact, the country’s civil bureaucracy had obtained some relief for its deeds from the incumbent government about a year ago, but Politicians are still under strict scrutiny by the NAB and almost all Chief Ministers of the provinces had appeared before the NAB during the past. However, it is hard luck of Syed Murad Ali Shah or a technical fault of NAB’s radar that it only locked on Murad Ali Shah’s malfunctioning and rest of his counterparts went unnoticed through NAB’s checking. Presently, Syed Murad Ali Shah is under several investigations by the NAB including illegal financial disbursement to Nooriabad Power Project, Roshan Sindh Program, benami accounts, and money laundering case in which Shah is accused of assisting Anwar Majeed in whitening his black money. NAB is vigorously haunting the former rulers of the country while leaving the ruling chaps to enjoy the fun. The opposition is accusing NAB of discriminatory behavior, however, NAB officials must tell the opposition that “What goes around comes around.”
