RAWALPINDI: Folk Musical Night was organized at Punjab Arts Council on the occasion of Culture Day.
Member Provincial Assembly Simabia Tahir and Farah Agha were the special guests of the musical night. Famous comedian Saeed Anwar performed the duties of compare in the ceremony. Famous folk singer Afshan Zebi performed well in the musical night and entertained the audience, while other folk singers are Maria Kanwal, Akhtar Ali Khan, Saghar Abbas.
While addressing the function Member Punjab Assembly Seemabia Tahir said that Punjab is second to none in folk music. Punjabi folk music has famous folk tales like Mirza Sahibs, Sasi Pinnu, Heer Ranjha, Sohni Mahiwal and Raja Rasalu. Member Punjab Assembly Farah Agha said that Punjab arts council did a great job on organizing folk music night on Culture Day eve. Chief Minister is working day and night for the promotion of arts and culture in Punjab province.
