Painting exhibit marking International Women Day held

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan National Council of Arts and Nomad Gallery have organized a painting exhibition on International Women’s Day.

The painting exhibition was inaugurated by Director General of Pakistan National Council of Art Ayub Jamali and social activist Head of Nomad Gallery Nagin Hayat,In which 41 famous artists of the country participated in the exhibition women from different walks of life and university students participated.Protection and promotion of the rights of women and girls, especially violence against women, domestic abuse, harassment and the provision and protection of social and cultural rights by the artists were highlighted through painting.Breast cancer, mental stress and other diseases were also depicted in the pictures.
Through the painting, social organizations working on women’s rights around the world also paid tribute to women who fought for women’s rights.Director General Pakistan National Council of the Arts Ayub Jamali said that the purpose of this event is to highlight the role of women in the society. Islam honors women with respect and dignity in all relationships.Head of Nomad Gallery Nagin Hayat said that we have to fight for women’s rights not only through laws but also by changing the mindset.The exhibition will continue till February 12
