RAWALPINDI: The Pakistan Army on Tuesday said emergency supplies of medical equipment, including personal protection equipment (PPE), is being dispatched to Quetta on orders of Chief of the Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.
“Doctors and paramedics are frontline soldiers in this war,” said the army chief while referring to the country’s efforts to curb the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
General Bajwa further said that most advanced nations and governments are finding it difficult to fight the pandemic.
Asking the nation to remain patient and steadfast during this “hour of distress”, the army chief said the government is striving hard to acquire and supply the required resources.–PR
