NEW DELHI: High Commissioner of Pakistan to India, Abdul Basit has exposed the neighbouring country on Wednesday by reporting that the government does not possess evidence of surgical strike but it was a ceasefire violation.
Basit stated that India violated the ceasefire along the Line of Control as it does to disturb the ties and influence the efforts of peace in the region.
The statement has come in connection with Indian claim last month of destroying terror “launch pads” inside Pakistani territory and eliminating threats to India.
Indian government made a mockery of it and was ridiculed internationally for making the false claim as neither casualties were found nor ruins of any offensive at the said target site.
The move, as purported by security and defence analysts, was aimed at isolating Pakistan in the region and the world by maligning its image.
The incorrect assertion was made after Indian army was attacked in Brigade Headquarters of Baramulla District on September 18 which Indian ministers including the premier held Pakistan responsible for.
