ISLAMABAD: The Pak Suzuki Motors Company (PSMC) announced Monday a massive increase in the prices of its cars that will be effective with immediate effect. It is learnt that the raise in the car prices was announced by the PSMC following an increase in freight and input costs and depreciation of the Pakistani Rupee against the US Dollar.
The company has hiked the prices by Rs40,000 to Rs129,000 of its six locally assembled models including Suzuki Alto, Suzuki Wagon R, Suzuki Cultus, Suzuki Swift, Suzuki Bolan and Suzuki Ravi.
The company has increased the price of Alto VXR by Rs58,000 to Rs1733,000. The price of the Alto VXL AGS variant has been increased by Rs65,000 to Rs1951,000.
The price of Alto VX has been increased by Rs50,000 to Rs1475,000.
The new price of Wagon R VXR has been increased to Rs2084,000.
Similarly, the new prices of Wagon R VXL and Wagon R AGS are Rs2199,000 and Rs2399,000, respectively.
The price of Cultus AGS has been increased Rs 100,000 to reach Rs2762,000.
The new prices of other variants such as Cultus VXR and Cultus VXL have surged to Rs2330,000 and Rs2564,000, respectively.
The prices of Swift GL MT and Swift GL CVT have also witnessed a hike to reach Rs2774,000 and Rs2998,000, respectively.
The price of Swift GLX CVT has been increased by Rs129,000 to Rs3298,000. The new prices of Bolan Van and Bolan AC are now stand at Rs1328,000 and Rs1415,000, respectively.
Furthermore, the price of Bolan Cargo has risen to Rs1315,000.
The prices of Ravi and Ravi without Deck have increased to Rs1256,000 and
Rs1181,000, respectively.
