Pakistan, China Traders to promote B2B collaboration

ISLAMABAD: With the encouraging result of the first Business-to-Business (B2B) Investment Conference in Peshawar, the Board of Investment (BOI) of Pakistan and All Pakistan Chinese Enterprise Association (APCEA) have decided to further promote B2B collaboration with the support of Chinese Embassy in Pakistan.
The officials of BOI and APCEA held a meeting in Islamabad and discussed “matters pertaining to promoting B2B collaborations”.
Asim Ayub, Project Director, of the BOI CPEC-Industrial Cooperation, Mr. Gong Da Hui, Secretary General of APCEA and Mr. Sun Youcheng, Vice President of APCEA and Director General of the Bank of China, Islamabad Branch discussed prospects of organizing a series of B2B events for enhancing inter-coordination between private-public sector enterprises.
Earlier in March, the BOI organized ‘China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Industrial Cooperation Business to Business (B2B) Investment Conference’ in Peshawar. The conference had focused on CPEC priority sectors to facilitate cooperation and linkages between Pakistani and foreign businessmen and entrepreneurs. More than 80 Chinese companies and different diplomatic circles had participated in the B2B conference.
“Following the conference, a large number of foreign investors have approached us for investments in different sectors,” an official of BOI told media. He said that a series of such conferences would be organized in the near future with a second B2B conference planned in Lahore.
