Pakistan, Kyrgyzstan debate issues of cooperation

BISHKEK: Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kyrgyzstan Aibek Artykbaev held on Monday a meeting with Ambassador of Pakistan to Kyrgyzstan Sardar Azhar Tariq Khan.
In the course of the meeting, the sides discussed a wide range of bilateral cooperation issues, including further resumption and activation of political contacts between the Foreign Ministries and the leadership of the two countries through the organization of visits.
The issue of holding the next inter-ministerial consultations and a meeting of the Kyrgyz-Pakistani Intergovernmental Commission on Trade, Economic and Scientific-Technical Cooperation was considered.
Besides, the deputy minister and the ambassador discussed the prospects of using the Pakistani Ports of Karachi and Gwadar for Kyrgyzstan’s access to the open sea, and also raised the issue of promoting the CASA-1000 project.Sardar Azhar Tariq Khan congratulated his interlocutor on appointment and wished success in his work. – Agencies
