Pakistan makes entry in ASOSAI

Islamabad: The Department of Auditor General of Pakistan has been elected as a member of the Gov-erning Board of Supreme Audit Institutions of Asia for the period of 2024 to 2027. The election was held through the 16th Associative Assembly elections. It was hosted by the Audit Office of New Delhi, India.
According to the announcement issued by the Auditor General of Pakistan Office, joining the main governing body of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions is a great honor for the coun-try. Pakistan’s election to the ASOSAI Governing Board is a recognition of its significant role in improv-ing audit quality in the region. The selection process is done through online distance method. The Pakistani delegation to attend the 16th Asian Supreme Audit Institutions Assembly was led by the Auditor General of Pakistan.

Pakistan’s accession to the organization is also a sign of strengthening the country’s representation and improving audit skills. Pakistan’s success in being elected to join the Governing Board of ASOSAI is a reflection of the strong national commitment to leadership in the field of audit at the regional and global levels. In the 16th session of SAI, the Supreme Audit Office from Pakistan has been successfully elected, which is an honor for the country. ISO SAI is a forum of Supreme Audit Institutions of 47 Asian countries. The Governing Board is the main component of the Sociology which governs the policies of the institution as per the rules and regulations after approval by the Assembly and approves the annual budget of the Sociology.
