ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Red Crescent Society (PRCS), in partnership with the German Red Cross, convened a high level “Pakistan Pre-COP30 National Dialogue 2025”, here on Monday.
The event gathered lawmakers, humanitarian leaders, climate experts, and youth to help shape Pakistan’s unified stance ahead of COP30 in Brazil and strengthen the country’s climate resilience agenda.
Chief Guest Senator Sherry Rehman, Chairperson of the Senate Standing Committee on Climate Change, said Pakistan remains among the most climate affected countries despite contributing minimally to global emissions. “Climate change has become a monster threatening our very existence.
The poorest communities are suffering the most as their futures and livelihoods are being stolen,” she said. She stressed that the widening climate divide between the Global North and Global South demands fair financing and support for developing nations.
“We will present Pakistan’s case at COP30 in the best possible way. This dialogue by PRCS is timely and critical. We urgently need sustainable measures to combat worsening climate impacts,” Senator Rehman added. Pakistan Red Crescent Society hosts Pre-COP30 Dialogue, calls for climate justice and support
