ISLAMABAD: Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Wednesday that Pakistan wanted promotion of fraternity and harmony among brotherly Islamic states.
In a series of tweets, she referred to the premier’s recent visits to Iran and Saudi Arabia for mediating talks between both states and stated that the unity amongst Muslim Ummah guarantees peace and economic stability in the region.
Dr Awan said that after Iran, Saudi Arabia’s admiration of Prime Minister Imran Khan’s sincere efforts for defusing tension and promotion of peace and stability in the region has made PM Khan “a distinctive leader of the Muslim world.”
She said the PM’s visit to Saudi Arabia would enhance mutual confidence between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia as well as bilateral relations based on close co-op in various areas.–Agencies
