DUBAI: In Gulfood2023, 80 Pakistani enterprises are exhibiting their food and beverage products, including 45 under the auspices of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
Gulfood2023 is the world’s largest food and beverage trade show, is taking place in the Dubai World Trade Centre, with over 5,000 companies from more than 125 nations in attendance.
TDAP Chief Executive M Zubair Motiwala accompanied by Hassan Afzal Khan, Consul General of Pakistan in Dubai, and Adeem Khan, Commercial Counsellor opened the Pakistan Pavilion in the show on Monday.
Pakistan will be exhibiting a wide variety of food goods at the exhibition, including rice, confectionary, beverages, poultry, and spices.
The country’s participation in Gulfood2023 allows Pakistani exhibitors to meet new clients for a variety of food and agro sector items, including fresh and frozen meals, fruits and vegetables, sauces, nuts, candies, confectionary, and tea.
This event is significant for Pakistan because the UAE is one of the country’s major export partners and its largest commercial partner in the MENA region.
According to a news statement issued by the Consulate General of Pakistan in Dubai, Pakistan has effectively increased its market for processed meat, herbal products, and fruits and vegetables in the region via regular involvement and consistent efforts. –Agencies
