Pakistan’s Ambassador to Norway presents credentials to the King

OSLO: Newly appointed Ambassador of Pakistan to Norway, His Excellency Babar Amin, has presented his credentials to his Majesty King Harald V of Norway yesterday.
In a series of tweets on Friday, Pakistani Embassy in Norway announced the development saying “Ambassador Babar Amin presented his credential to His Majesty King Harald V of Norway today at the Royal Palace”.
His Majesty King of Norway congratulated H.E. Babar Amin on his appointment and welcomed him in Norway, a statement by the embassy said, adding, “the Ambassador conveyed the greetings and best wishes of the President and Prime Minister of Pakistan to H.M. King Harald V”.
The statement further said that the Ambassador had a brief face-to-face discussion with His Majesty King Harald V touching on the bilateral relations, regional situation in South Asia including Kashmir and Afghanistan.
Furthermore, H.M. King Harald V appreciated the positive contributions of Pakistani diaspora in Norway.
The ceremony was followed by a reception hosted by the Royal Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs in honor of newly accredited Ambassadors, the statement concluded.
In a major reshuffle on August 21 in the Foreign Office, the then Additional Foreign Secretary and Spokesman MoFA, Zahid Hafeez Chaudhari was made High Commissioner to Australia and Babar Amin was appointed ambassador to Norway.
Back in May 2018 H.E. Babar Amin had assumed office of the Pakistan’s High Commissioner to Australia and served on the post for over three years.
