Worcester: COVID-19 tests of Pakistan’s 20 players and 12 members of team management, who had arrived in England for Test and T20I series, have come out negative, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) confirmed on Tuesday.
According to the details, the squad has been given permission to train outside after negative results. The team will hold a training session here today.
Zafar Gohar and Cliffe Deacon, who had joined the team on Monday, have also been tested negative for the widely-spread virus.
It must be noted here that all the players and team management will remain in quarantine for 14 days. Alongside quarantine, the team will be allowed to do group training.
On the other hand, Fakhar Zaman, Mohammad Hasnain, Mohammad Hafeez, Mohammad Rizwan, Shadab Khan, and Wahab Riaz have tested negative for Covid-19 for the second time in three days and. They are now eligible to join the squad in England.
The PCB will now start making their travel arrangements and the departure details will be shared in due course.
