Passing out ceremony of Intermediate & Lower Courses held

ISLAMABAD: A dignified passing out ceremony was held at the Capital Police College Islamabad for the 14th Intermediate Course and 23rd Lower Course of Islamabad Police.
The event was graced by Commandant Capital Police College Muhammad Atique Tahir as the chief guest. Senior police officers, along with the graduating officers and personnel, were also present at the ceremony.
The Commandant CPC distributed awards and certificates of appreciation to officers and personnel who excelled during the training courses.
Addressing the ceremony, he said that all the participating officers and personnel had successfully completed departmental courses required for their professional advancement.
He expressed his pleasure at being the chief guest for the passing out ceremony and congratulated the Capital Police College staff for providing excellent training in a short span of time.
He noted that the personnel were fortunate to have been given the opportunity by Almighty Allah to serve the public.
He emphasized, keep in mind that we are servants of the people, not the other way around. Believe me, there is no greater peace than that found in serving others.
Treat people with kindness there’s no reason you won’t be respected in return.
He urged the graduates to sincerely pledge that they will make public service their motto, uphold the law, and ensure the provision of justice to all without discrimination.
He further added, protecting the lives and property of citizens is our foremost duty. Respecting them and solving their problems should be our priorities. I am confident that the training you have received will now be applied practically in your duties.
He expressed hope that the officers will continue the tradition of dedication to duty and bring pride to themselves and the police department by fulfilling their professional responsibilities in the best manner.
He further stated that upgrading the Capital Police College and modernizing police training are among the top priorities of Islamabad Police.

11 criminals arrested, drugs and weapons recovered

According to the details, Islamabad Police are conducting an effective crackdown across the federal capital to ensure the safety of citizens’ lives and property by curbing crime and apprehending criminal elements.

In this regard, police teams from Noon, Industrial Area, Humak, and Shahzad Town police stations arrested 06 accused and recovered 1131 gram hashish, 120 grams of heroin, 120 gram of ice, two pistols, and one gun with ammunition from their possession.

Cases have been registered against the nabbed accused, and further investigations are underway. Additionally, during a special campaign to apprehend absconders and proclaimed offenders, five criminals were also arrested.

SSP Operations Islamabad stated that Islamabad Police are continuously working to ensure the protection of citizens’ lives and property in the federal capital.

No one will be allowed to disrupt the peace of the city, he said, adding that the safety and security of citizens remain the top priority of Islamabad Police.

He urged the public to immediately report any suspicious activity to the relevant police station or via the emergency helpline Pucar-15, so that, through mutual cooperation between the police and the community, the city can be made crime-free.
