Lahore: The former cricketer Ramiz Raja has appreciated the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for postponing the knockout stage of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 5 following Coronavirus pandemic.
“Obviously, it is disappointing for me being a cricket fan but I think PCB has taken the right decision at the right time. This widely-spread virus has affected the whole world and now we all should be serious towards all safety precautions,” Raja said while talking to the media at Gaddafi Stadium.
The cricketer-turned-commentator appreciated the PCB for handling the situation quite well and taking every possible step to save the league. “PCB has done a great job to make this league successful. I think the league has already become successful at home. Fans turned up in numbers across all four venues which increased the intensity of this brand,” he said. It is pertinent to mention here that the PCB had postponed the semi-finals and final of PSL 5 as coronavirus precaution. – Agencies
