PCP Chairman upholding media ethics

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman of the PCP, Arshad Khan Jadoon, reaffirmed the Council’s unwavering commitment to safeguarding freedom of expression and promoting media ethics. Speaking during a meeting with prominent members of the Business Forum France and Europe, including President Sardar Zahoor, General Secretary Yasir Jadoon, and renowned businessman and philanthropist Mushtaq Khan Jadoon, the Chairman highlighted the Council’s ongoing efforts to support and protect the journalist community.
“Our primary focus is to serve the journalist community and ensure their welfare,” Jadoon said.
He elaborated on the Council’s initiatives, including research on legal protections for journalists and addressing the challenges they face.
He also mentioned that the PCP is undergoing a systematic revision to strengthen its role in combating fake news and resolving issues faced by journalists.
He expressed his gratitude to the delegation for their visit and reiterated the Council’s dedication to supporting journalistic organizations.
In response, President Sardar Zahoor congratulated Jadoon on his appointment and acknowledged the significant challenges journalists encounter.
He commended the Chairman’s efforts in revitalizing the Press Council and assured him of the Forum’s full support in these endeavours.
