Shanghai: Travelers from overseas who make false health and travel declarations will be warned or fined and be given a black mark in Shanghai’s social credit rating system, according to the municipal justice bureau. A person with a black mark in the social credit rating system in Shanghai will not be able to receive municipal subsidies or financial aid for their medical expenses. They will also not be allowed to start new businesses in the city, said Liu Ping, an official with the bureau.
