ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on Wednesday has said that Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) of opposition parties has practically ended.
While chairing a joint parliamentary party meeting of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and its allied parties, the premier said the opposition parties have tried their best but the people of Pakistan have rejected them.
PM Imran further said that complete inquiry into Hudaibiya Paper Mills will also be carried out. On the other hand, the participants of the session discussed strategy for upcoming Senate elections. Prime Minister also took the parliamentary party members into confidence regarding important decisions taken by the government.
The members also apprised the Prime Minister Imran Khan about the problems of their constituencies.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Imran Khan has stressed for expediting the development projects in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and said that he would personally visit the province to review the progress on the development projects. The Prime Minister expressed these views while talking to Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Shah Farman, who called on him in Islamabad on Wednesday.
During the meeting, the Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa briefed the Prime Minister about the olive cultivation, Billion Tree Honey and Billion Tree Dried Fruit projects in the province.
He also briefed the Prime Minister on reforms in the administration of universities in the province.
Later in the day the female lawmakers of the ruling party Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf called Wednesday on Prime Minister Imran Khan to give their recommendations on a number of matters related to, among others, health, environment, and development.
In the meeting, the female members of the National Assembly from the government, including Andleeb Abbas, Javaria Zafar, Kanwal Shauzab, Rubina Jamil, Tashfeen Safdar, Rukhsana Naveed, Nusrat Wahid, and Sajida Begum, met Prime Minister Imran Khan to counsel him on a number of matters.
The female lawmakers laid out their suggestions on the various projects of education, health, environment, and public development, according to the Prime Minister’s official Twitter handle.
Special Assistant to the PM on political affairs Malik Aamir Dogar was also present on the occasion, the tweet said.
